Working while applying for SSI/SSDI…

  • There is a misconception that individuals applying for SSDI cannot work while applying; or rather that working will affect one’s chances of being approved.

  • Individuals can earn up to -but not exceed- $1,310 per month ($15,720 per year) before taxes to maintain eligibility for SSDI.

  • Keep record of any changes that were made by your employer to accommodate for your disability.
